Where the bin has to fit

Downtown, the North End, and the East End are the tight drops: older streets, alleys, and short drives. A bin on your own driveway or yard is the placement to plan for. The street rule for Boise is in the section below.

The Bench, West Boise, and Southeast Boise more often have a driveway that can take the bin if the spot is clear. You do not have to be home. Leave placement notes when you book. Delivery runs 8 AM to 8 PM, and we text when we are on the way. The exact hour is not guaranteed, because landfill waits move the route.

Projects that match this bin

Garage cleanouts, basements, and single-room remodels are the Boise jobs this size is built for. The rental page accepts household junk, furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, wood, drywall, and yard waste. It does not accept concrete, dirt, bricks, or hazardous materials. A North End remodel full of plaster and wood is in bounds. Old paint, tires, and a concrete patio are not.

If the drive is shorter than the bin, say so before delivery day. We would rather talk about a street permit, or tell you the spot will not work, than make a dry run.

A bin on the street

Boise City Code 6-10A-12 prohibits a drop box in a street parking space unless ACHD, or another agency with jurisdiction, has issued a permit. Without that permit the same section limits the drop box to 72 hours, requires it not to block traffic, and requires reflectors after dark. Construction that uses on-street parking also needs an ACHD right-of-way permit before the city’s temporary-use parking permit (Boise City Code 6-10A-20). Ada County Highway District controls the public right-of-way in this city, including the street, sidewalk, and shoulder, except state highways (those are the Idaho Transportation Department) and private roads. ACHD’s published fee schedule, Resolution 2321, effective January 13, 2021, lists dumpsters and storage units as a short-term encroachment at $20 per week, capped at 7 days. A longer stay uses the long-term encroachment schedule. Confirm the current fee with ACHD before you count on that figure. A bin kept entirely on private property is not what that right-of-way rule describes.

Questions

Does Boise Bins publish an extra delivery fee for Boise?

Boise is on the core city list. The site does not add a separate Boise delivery fee on top of Simple pricing. If the drop is outside the listed cities, call (208) 913-9431. Farther out, a delivery fee may apply, and no amount is printed for that case.
